Soles 4 Souls Montreal is very pleased to report:
With the generous help of all the sponsors, donors, drop off locations and volunteers in the Montreal-West Island area, over 8000 pairs of footwear were collected during the April 2012 month long Shoe Drive for children and adults locally and internationally.

Thank you to S4S Montreal 2012 Volunteers - especially to John Jacques - Telus Montreal Ambassador who volunteered alot of time to transport collected footwear and to Christiane Veillette from Charles River who helped alot with translation.
Thank you to about 40 drop off locations - schools, stores, companies - who set up Soles 4 Souls collection boxes for the month of April 2012.

Thank you to all the Montrealers-West Islanders who cleaned out their closets, basements and donated thousands of running shoes, boots, sandals, dress shoes and to BBG Orthopedics and Totidem who donated new shoes.

Thank you to Soles 4 Souls Eastern Canada Director Don Robichaud for his on-going help and to Soles 4 Souls Montreal 2012 spokespersons Cary Lawrence and Orla Johannes for their help.
About 3000 pairs of the shoes collected have been distributed to the following organizations around Montreal and the West Island:
Sun Youth (assistance and services for families in need),
YMCA Tupper (residence, services for northern native people needing medical care in Montreal and for refugees),
Nazareth House (residence, services for men in need),
Chez Doris (day centre, services for women in need),
Dans la Rue (assistance, services for street kids and at risk youth),
Old Brewery Mission - Pavillon Patricia Mackenzie (residence, services for women in need)
Centre dAction Benevole lActuel Vaudreuil (assistance, services to families in need)
Cartier Emilie (assistance, services to families)

About 5000 pairs of shoes were transported to the Soles 4 Souls Ottawa warehouse on their way to Soles 4 Souls USA for international distribution to adults and children in need.
