Rafael is 3 and has never owned a pair of shoes, just like his 5 brothers and sisters. His mother, who lives alone with the children outside the Tegucigalpa City Dump, said she is happy her children will be able to walk to school three miles down the dirt road more safely. (Honduras has a high prevalence rate of hookworm infection, and many children like Rafael are at direct risk for infection.)
Angel is a bright-eyed 18 month-old boy living in Reynosa, Mexico. He was still learning to walk in his new pair of boots, and his parents were delighted to learn that Soles4Souls will return each year with shoes for the kids. Soles4Souls Founder Wayne Elsey (seen here) said that “Soles4Souls is committed to all the kids who receive shoes from us, because as they grow out of the shoes we need to be there again.”WHAT'S IN YOUR CLOSET?

Soles 4 Souls - Canada will be again helping to change the world - one pair of shoes at a time.
Pat Auchinleck, Renee Blanchette and Dorothy Spevack, three members of Professional Organizers In Canada - Montreal Chapter, are volunteer co-ordinating Soles 4 Souls Montreal.
We are organizing a month long Shoe Drive in April in conjuction with the Kelowna BC and the Ottawa ON Soles 4 Soles Canada April 2012 Shoe Drive.
About twenty percent of the footwear collected are distributed to local groups who have clients in need. The rest of the footwear is distributed to adults and children in underdeveloped countries.
If you are in Montreal or the West Island, you can help (individual, company, community or faith group, school, organization).
Soles 4 Souls - Canada Shoe Drive April 2012 needs your help - footwear, drop off locations, financial donations, time.
Soles 4 Souls has already collected and distributed 17 million pairs of shoe to impoverished children and adults domestically and internationally in 127 countries.
